Care+Wear Ultra-Soft Antimicrobial PICC Line Cover

PICC Line Covers are made with a breathable, comfortable cotton/lycra fabric that has an EPA-approved antimicrobial treatment. They are perfect for covering and securing PICC lines, which are often required for patients having regular cancer treatment, and preventing snagging.

Key Benefits

  • Helps to securely cover the line and prevent snags
  • Soft, comfortable and breathable cotton/lycra blend that is antimicrobial
  • Mesh window allows airflow and visibility

This stylish PICC Line Cover can be machine washed, and the antimicrobial treatment will last at least 50 washes while maintaining 99.9% efficacy. The cover includes a mesh window which allows both airflow and visibility to the PICC line, allowing for any changes in the appearance to be seen.

The idea for Care+Wear's innovative PICC line covers came after a friend's experience receiving treatment through a PICC line. Their friend was told to wear a sock to protect and cover the PICC line site, making the uncomfortable treatment even more uncomfortable. The bulky white sock became a constant reminder of the illness. They decided to create something new and better that would help patients living with PICC lines. They wanted to help them see themselves as people first, and patients second.

Please note: We recommend that you measure your bicep before ordering to ensure you get the right size. Get a friend to measure the circumference of your bicep where the PICC line will be or is already inserted. If you are between sizes, please order a size down as the covers run large. Please be advised that sizes are guidelines only.

Please call or email us if a colour/size that you want is unavailable and we will be happy to help.

For us to refund this product it must be returned unopened in its original packaging.

Can I get my PICC Line Cover wet?

The Care + Wear PICC Line Cover is not waterproof, and neither is the dressing over the PICC line. It is important that your PICC line is kept dry as water at the site of the PICC line can increase the risk of infection.

How do PICC lines work?

PICC lines are thin plastic tubes that go into your vein. PICC lines allow healthcare professionals to give you medication that needs to go straight into your veins, and take blood tests without any additional needles.

What does 'PICC' stand for?

PICC stands for Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter.

What are the benefits of using a PICC Line Cover?

Our PICC Line Covers are instilled with an EPA approved antimicrobial treatment, that will last for 100 washes. The fabric is also hypoallergenic, meaning it won’t irritate sensitive skin caused by chemo. The insertion site is covered by a mesh window, allowing you to keep an eye out for displacement or infection.

How many colours and sizes do the PICC line covers come in?

Currently, our range comes in eight different colours. The sizes range from XXS to XL.

What size PICC Line Cover do I need?

Before purchasing your PICC Line Cover, it is best to measure your bicep to ensure you pick the right size. Either with a piece of string or a ribbon tape measure, measure the widest part of your arm in inches. This number will advise what size would fit you best.
